Helton Inc. was founded in 1973 by James “Jim” Helton. The company began with nothing more than a pizza oven, a vacuum cleaner and a dream, but decades of achievement, dedication, and reliable customer service have helped Helton Inc. become a trusted leader in custom plastics manufacturing and sales.
When Jim retired in 1990, son Steve Helton took over the leadership reins. The company entered into a partnership with another corporation, and in 1991 Helton and Helton became Helton Inc. In the same year, the company moved to its 70,000-square-foot facility on Highway 55 in Morrison, Tenn. Steve bought out his partners and became the sole owner in February 2002.
More than anything, Helton Inc. is a family business. Steve’s wife Nancy is in charge of scheduling and production control, and Steve’s sister, Vickie Mathis, serves as office manager. Helton Inc. recently became a third-generation company as both of Steve’s sons assumed roles in the family business: Chris as plant manager and Steven as sales manager.
Today, Helton Inc. provides quality OEM components and material handling solutions to America’s top companies, covering a vast spectrum of applications including home and office furnishings, agricultural and gardening products, medical supplies and automotive manufacturing. A member of the Material Handling Industry of America, Helton Inc. has earned its reputation as “the company that gets it done”.
